Gin, Vermouth and Beer Syrup! Cole Benoit is, in our humble opinion, one of the best producers of cocktail Bitters in Canada. Hands down. We've taste tested a ton of bitters and Cole's bitters at Apothecary Bitters are always, always, the best in their category. Here's a lovely tipple that pairs limited edition Apothecary Bitters with our Rosso Vermouth.

Recipe Note
*Viognier Farmhouse beer syrup recipe - Make as you would a standard 1:1 Simple Syrup but substitute the water for beer! Equal parts, by weight, beer to sugar.
Measure sugar into a heat proof container. Measure beer and heat beer to just below simmering (70C). Pour beer onto sugar and stir until dissolved.
Normally for simple syrup you'd boil the water, but in this case we want to be careful not to cook the beer, so 70C will do just fine.
Alternatively, if you plan to use all the syrup quickly, you could add all the ingredients into a blender and blend until dissolved.
