Spiced Apple Hot Toddy

Whisky, Palmer's Spiced Apple, lemon juice and hot water. Immediately after making our first batch of Palmer's Spiced Apple we knew it would be just perfect in a Toddy. Something to cosy up with on a cool winters day, preferably sitting in front of a fire.

It's super easy to make, and you can adjust any of the ingredient  proportions to suit your taste. Really, don't get too bogged down in following this recipe to the exact measure. If you want more apple, or more whisky or more lemon, you do you!

Feel free to adjust the proportions to your taste preference cause Hot Toddy time! With a bit of flare from our new Palmer’s Spiced Apple

My preference for this drink is equal parts whisky and Palmer’s Spiced Apple, a healthy squeeze of lemon juice and top with hot water.

A little dollop (1/4 oz or less) of honey would also be quite nice, but not particularly necessary as you’ll get a wee bit of sweetness and honey flavour from the spiced apple. But extra honey is always nice 🐝

Spiced Apple Hot Toddy

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 mL) Whisky / Rye - Stillhead Distillery

  • 2 oz (60 mL) Palmer’s Spiced Apple / Esquimalt

  • 1/2 oz (15 mL) Lemon Juice

  • 4.5 oz (135 mL) Hot Water

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to your favourite mug, stir and enjoy! I garnished with a half lemon slice, but honestly if it wasn’t for a photo I’d just use a quarter of the squeezed out lemon half to garnish, you’ll get more nice lemon oils out that way and it’s way less effort. Hot Toddy is not a fussy drink. It’s fire time cozy time. 🙃
