Bitter Orange, gin, aged genever, elderberry liqueur. This one has the dry bitterness of what I can only describe as black coffee, but with the citrus, fruit and spices, almost like a Mulled wine but bitter and dry. At first you get a hit of citrus that mellows out but continues throughout the sip, pomegranate and berries come in next adding a bit of body to the drink. Subtle oak comes and blends the fruit with the winter spices before it ends very dry and bitter. For a spec list I wouldn’t have considered together until I tried it, this is a nice, complex sipper you can easily mix up during your down time.
