Originally sceptical of the fact that it only uses 1/4 oz lemon juice, but the added sweetness from the orange liqueur helps bring that citrus flavour without the added tartness. If you look at the Imbiblia app, they have some history on the drink, including the lack of garnish. I like to think it’s because Journalists are always on their toes and ready to head out, garnished would take extra time that they don’t have. Most likely not true, but it lives in my head now….

Ingredients

2 oz (60 mL) Cascadian Gin / Woods Spirit Co.

1/2 oz (15 mL) Dry Vermouth / Esquimalt

1/2 oz ( 15 mL) Sweet Vermouth / Esquimalt

1/4 oz (7 mL) Orange Liqueur (Curacao) / Barrel of Sunshine Liqueur - Shelter Point

1/4 oz (7 mL) Lemon Juice

1 dash Aromatic-ish Bitters / Rootside Bitters
Directions
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe glass
