Single Malt Whisky, Kina-Blanc, Orange Bitters. Shelter Point’s Montfort Single Malt Whisky is what I would call a Breakfast whisky. It’s light, floral, with some subtle fruit coming through. I felt it would work great in a, let’s call it a Breakfast Manhattan riff? The Single Malt taking the Base and an Elderflower Kina-Blanc Vermouth to add some floral notes but it’s light enough to let the Whisky shine.

Ingredients

2 oz (60 mL) Single Malt Whisky / Montfort Single Malt - Shelter Point

¾ oz (20 mL) Kina-Blanc / Esquimalt

2 dashes Orange Bitters / Rootside Bitters

1 Dash Dash Balsam Fir Bitters (optional) / Bar Chef

¼ oz (5ml) 1:1 Simple Syrup
Directions
Stir over ice until chilled and strain into a coup glass
Garnish with an orange peel
