Shipping policy
All orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. We strive to process all orders with 24hrs, but on occasion, this might not be possible due to high volumes, pandemics, postal service issues or other occasions that are outside of our control and thus it may take a little longer.
Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates
For calculated shipping rates: Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
All Canadian orders are usually shipped via Canada Post with age verification (when required for alcoholic products).
During the Canada Post strike, we will be shipping via Purolator. Due to the increased costs with this carrier, we have temporarily raised our shipping rates to a flat-rate of $12 across Canada. Thanks for understanding and supporting local!
Local delivery
Free local delivery is available for orders within Greater Victoria, BC. Local deliveries are made on Thursdays only. Occasionally if we are busy on a particular Thursday, we will do our deliveries on Friday, but the norm is Thursday deliveries.
Someone over the age of 19 must be available to receive the order. We cannot leave the package unattended outside a door. It just be received by someone of legal age.
In-store pickup
You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at 3091 Jingle Pot Rd, Nanaimo, BC V9R 6W6. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1 hour during normal business hours. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions.
Our in-store pickup hours are 10 am-5 pm on Tuesday-Friday. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.
No shipping to Ontario
Due to Ontario's Provincial legislation, wineries in BC and other provinces are not permitted to ship wine to Ontario, despite Ontario being in the same country. If you would like this changed, we highly recommend contacting your Member of Provincial Parliament.
International Shipping
Sorry, just shipping within Canada…for now.
How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If you haven’t received your order within 10 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at quinn@esquimaltvermouth.ca with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
Shipping to P.O. boxes
Some carriers have limitations around shipping to P.O. Boxes. If one of your carriers falls into this group, you should look up their policy and communicate it to your customers here.
Refunds, returns, and exchanges
We accept returns up to 30 days after delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return.
In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at quinn@esquimaltwine.ca with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
